Jaisalmer is located in the northwestern part of Rajasthan, India, and is situated at the edge of the Thar Desert. The city stands at an elevation of approximately 250 meters (820 feet) above sea level. Known as the “Golden City” due to its yellow sandstone architecture, Jaisalmer is surrounded by vast stretches of desert land, offering picturesque views of sand dunes and the desert’s unique landscape.
